Kanye West, Turkish sourcing company settle

It’s been said that Kanye West has made few friends in the fashion industry, but at least one opponent is apparently now in a neutral camp.

The rapper has settled a case filed against his fashion company by a Turkey manufacturing sourcing agent, a news report said.

It was reported in the fashion press this month that Derya Gulseven, owner of an Istanbul-based sourcing company, filed suit against Mr. West, charging she had not been fully paid what she was owed for work she had done for Mr. West’s Calabasas, California-based West Brands Fashions L.L.C., which manufactures clothes under the Yeezy brand. Ms. Gulseven said there was $228,000 in unpaid wages.

The suit has now been settled, according to thejasminbrand.com, which did not disclose the amount.

Mr. West has previously run into controversy over scheduling of his fashion show and its casting, reports said.

Separately, Mr. West has also been sued by Lloyd’s of London in connection with a canceled tour.
