BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. on Friday said it has acquired Wayne, Illinois-based Weiss Insurance Agencies Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Weiss Insurance Agencies, founded in 1905, provides a full range of employee benefits, property/casualty, financial and retirement products and services, and human resource consulting services to clients in Illinois and throughout the country, Gallagher said in a statement.

The firm has a team of over 30 people and about 4,000 clients, according to its website, with specialists in business insurance, employee benefits, personal insurance and wealth management.

Gallagher said company principals John Weiss, James Parrilli Jr., Arthur Pizzello and their associates will continue to operate from their current locations in Wayne and Carmel, Indiana, under the direction of John Neumaier, head of Gallagher’s Great Lakes employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations, and Patrick M. Gallagher, head of Gallagher’s Midwest retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
