More than 5,000 firms likely to go out of business due to hurricane Maria: Report

A report by U.S.-based Public Radio International Inc. said that more than 5,000 firms in Puerto Rico are likely to go out of business due to hurricane Maria, The Washington Post reported. The hurricane damaged infrastructure, with only 50% of the island having access to power. Several firms also experienced thefts, lost employees and could not invoice their insurers due to lack of internet access.
