Ransomware attacks likely to cause more than $5 billion of damage: Report
Posted On: Nov. 1, 2017 5:20 AM CSTA report by U.S.-based cloud business applications firm Intermedia.net Inc. said that ransomware attacks are likely to cause more than $5 billion worth of damage to businesses across the world this year, Top Tech News reported. The report found that businesses pay an average of $1,400 to rescue their IT systems from ransomware attacks. Nearly 60% of respondents said that they had personally paid a ransom in work-related IT threats, while 37% said that their employers had paid ransoms.
