Aon to acquire UK broker Henderson

Aon P.L.C. said Monday that it is acquiring Leeds, England-based Henderson Insurance Brokers Ltd. for an undisclosed amount.

Aon said it expects to complete the acquisition of the independent broker in December.

Henderson, which will become part of Aon Risk Solutions U.K., focuses on general insurance, health and benefits, and trade credit insurance, Aon said in a statement. Its clients range from large corporate businesses, through to mid-market and small and medium enterprise businesses, and it has over 400 employees in 16 offices.

Aon is the world’s second-largest insurance brokerage, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
