Pennsylvania Senate passes drug formulary
Posted On: Oct. 26, 2017 1:52 PM CSTThe Pennsylvania Senate passed a bill Wednesday that would require adoption of a drug formulary.
Under Senate Bill 936, the Department of Labor and Industry will select a “nationally recognized, evidence-based prescription drug formulary appropriate for resolving issues related to drugs prescribed for or related to the treatment of work-related injuries, including, but not limited to, the type, dosage, and duration of prescriptions,” according to the bill’s latest text.
The vote was 34-16 and the bill will now go to the state House of Representatives.
