Alliant expands pharmacy practice

Alliant Employee Benefits, a division of Alliant Insurance Services Inc., said Monday that pharmacy industry veteran Sal Morana is joining the Newport Beach, California-based brokerage in the newly created position of senior vice president and pharmacy practice lead-hospitals and health systems.

Mr. Morana, who is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has nearly 25 years of broad pharmacy practice and industry experience, Alliant said in a statement. 

A company spokeswoman said Alliant does not divulge previous employers, but Mr. Morana’s LinkedIn profile indicates he most recently worked at Willis Towers Watson P.L.C. as senior pharmacy consultant in the Atlanta area.

“Sal’s extensive experience in health system pharmacy administration and strategic pharmacy consulting is an asset for our growing pharmacy practice,” Kevin Overbey, senior executive vice president and senior managing director of Alliant Employee Benefits, said in a statement.
