Taiwan's fair trade commission slaps Qualcomm with nearly $780-million fine

Qualcomm has been violating antitrust rules for at least seven years and has collected TWD 400 billion in licensing fees from local firms during the period, the FTC said. Qualcomm has monopoly market status over key mobile phone standards and has violated local laws by refusing to provide products to clients who do not agree with its conditions, the FTC added.
