Swiss Re offers professional liability coverage for nonprofits

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd., a unit of Swiss Re Ltd., said Thursday it is introducing SwissGuard, a management liability coverage designed for nonprofit and private companies.

SwissGuard includes directors and officers liability, employment practices liability and fiduciary liability coverage for U.S.-domiciled companies, the insurer said in a statement Thursday.

It protects against claims derived from mergers and acquisitions activity, financial performance, employment matters and breach of fiduciary duty, among others, the statement said.

These products can be purchased individually or on a combined basis, according to the statement.
