TigerRisk names head of reinsurance solutions

TigerRisk Partners L.L.C., a Stamford, Connecticut-based reinsurance broker and risk/capital management and strategic advisory firm, named Seth Ruff as partner and head of reinsurance solutions, the company said in a statement Monday.
Mr. Ruff will work with broking teams to help facilitate growth, boost efficiency, reduce volatility and enhance capital flexibility, the statement said. This is a new position to be based in New York, according to a company spokesman via email. Mr. Ruff will report to Rod Fox, CEO and Tony Ursano, president, the spokesman said.
He was most recently president of Swiss Re’s US P&C Core Partners Group and president of Swiss Re Underwriters Agency Inc.
“Seth Ruff has a unique talent for understanding client needs, and a long history of creating highly creative structured products that meet those needs,” Rod Fox, CEO of TigerRisk, said in the statement.
“TigerRisk has built an exceptional client list, and has earned a reputation for fresh thinking and laser-like client focus," Mr. Ruff said in the statement.
