Two wildfires in British Columbia cause more than $100 million in insured damage

The Insurance Bureau of Canada said that two wildfires in the province of British Columbia caused $127 million Canada ($102.5 million) worth of insured damage, News1130 reported. A fire around Williams Lake caused nearly CAD 100 million worth of insured damage to houses, cars and businesses, while another fire in Elephant Hill caused more than CAD 27 million worth of damage, the bureau said.
