BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Paradigm Outcomes acquires surgical management specialist

Paradigm Outcomes, a provider of medical management services for injured workers, said Wednesday that it has entered an agreement to acquire ForeSight Medical.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close in October, Paradigm Outcomes said in a statement.

Tampa, Florida-based ForeSight Medical will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Paradigm and will maintain its separate brands, according to the statement. ForeSight is a cost containment company that provides surgical implant bill review and claim payment negotiations for the workers compensation market.

“With the acquisition of ForeSight, we continue to expand the breadth and depth of Paradigm’s capabilities for managing the most complex cases and improving outcomes for injured workers,” said Jim Hudak, Paradigm's San Francisco-based chairman and CEO.
