SMEs paid more than $300 million to ransomware hackers: Report
Posted On: Sep. 25, 2017 4:00 AM CSTA report by U.S.-based backup services firm Datto Inc. found that small and medium-sized enterprises across the world paid an estimated $300 million to ransomware hackers in 2016, ITProportal.com reported. The report also found that 5% of all SMEs were victims of a ransomware attack in 2016.
