Quake, hurricane damage nearly 340,000 hectares of crops in Mexico

States reporting losses include Chihuahua, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Puebla and Yucatan, among others. Meanwhile, an official said that hurricane Katia, which struck Mexico on Sep. 8, is likely to have damaged more than 200,000 hectares of maize, pineapple, papaya, banana and other crops in Veracruz.
