Natural gas firms suspend production following wildfire

Richard Dahl, chief executive of Canada-based oil and gas firm Questfire Energy Corp., said that the firm has suspended natural gas production due to a wildfire near the company's plant in Alberta, Reuters reported. Mr. Dahl said Questfire decided to shut its gas plant and 16 wells on Sep. 12 as it lost road access to its facilities following a mandatory evacuation order for Cardston County.
