Texas comp division starts compliance program, names chief

The Texas Division of Workers Compensation has named Timothy P. Riley as its deputy commissioner of compliance and investigations.

The newly created program is responsible for monitoring compliance and investigating violations as well as for enforcement efforts, the division said in a statement Sept. 5.

Previously, Mr. Riley was vice president of special investigations for Texas Mutual Insurance Co., the state’s largest provider of workers comp insurance coverage, the division said in a statement. He is based in Austin, Texas.
