Axa suffers cyber attack, data of 5,400 customers compromised

Eric Lelyon, data protection officer at France-based insurer Axa S.A., said that the insurer suffered a cyber attack that compromised personal data of 5,400 customers in Singapore, ZDNet.com reported. The breach affected users of its health portal including past customers, Mr. Lelyon said. The attack "exposed" the customers' e-mail address, date of birth, and mobile number, which was used to transmit one-time passwords when users logged on to the portal, he added.
