Zurich names new international head

Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. on Thursday said it has named Peter Huber CEO of Zurich International, effective Sept. 18.
Mr. Huber succeeds Clive Baker, who “has decided to move on to new opportunities,” Zurich said in a statement.
Based in Isle of Man, Mr. Huber will lead Zurich’s overall international business, including international life businesses in the Isle of Man, Middle East and Zurich International Corporate Solutions, including Zurich Eurolife in Luxembourg.
He was most recently CEO for Zurich Topas Life Indonesia and will report to Patrick Manley, CEO of Zurich Insurance P.L.C. and chief administrative officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Huber’s “knowledge and understanding of customers, the market and the company will enable him to work with the team to build on current success,” Mr. Manley said in the statement. “I’d also like to thank Clive for his great leadership over the last five years.”
