Australian insurance regulator faces criticism for claim related to cyclone Debbie

The Insurance Council of Australia's recent claim that more than 70% of claims related to cyclone Debbie have been finalized has been criticized for being misleading, Whitsunday Times reports. David Keane, former insurance assessor, said that the 72% of claims that have been paid only equate to about one third of the total value of claims if the damage bill is $331 million Australia ($263 million) and AUD 108 million has been paid.
