Sullivan sworn in as OSHRC commissioner
Posted On: Aug. 30, 2017 12:38 PM CSTJames J. Sullivan Jr. was sworn in Monday as commissioner of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
Mr. Sullivan, based in Washington, D.C., will fill a term expiring April 27, 2021, and was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Aug. 3. Mr. Sullivan succeeds former Chairwoman Thomasina V. Rogers, OSHRC said in a statement.
Previously, Mr. Sullivan was a shareholder with law firm Cozen O'Connor with a practice focused on labor and employment law and workplace safety and health matters. Prior to that, he was the management co-chair of the American Bar Association Committee on Occupational Safety and Health Law, according to the statement.
