Huawei to pay Singapore tech firm $26 million to settle suit

Chinese telecommunications firm Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. will pay Singapore-based electronic equipment manufacturer Creative Technology Ltd. and its subsidiary QMAX Communications Pte. Ltd. about $36 million Singapore ($26.4 million) over its failed wireless broadband project, Channel NewsAsia reported. Creative Technology said that it sought to recover damage and loss suffered from the project for “misrepresentation or alternatively, for breach of contract” by Huawei.
