Alliant opens Baton Rouge office

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. on Tuesday said it is opening an office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for its middle market Alliant Americas division.

The office will run by Steve Gaffney and Scott McLaughlin, Newport Beach, California-based Alliant said in a statement. Mr. Gaffney joins Alliant as senior vice president, while Mr. McLaughlin will come on board as vice president.

Alliant would not disclose the executives’ former employers, but according to their LinkedIn profiles, Mr. Gaffney was a senior vice president with Regions Insurance in Baton Rouge for 23 years, and Mr. McLaughlin was a vice president and senior broker with BancorpSouth Insurance Services Inc. in Baton Rouge for 23 years.

“Baton Rouge, with its diverse economy and central location, represents fertile ground for the middle market,” Bob Bennetsen, executive vice president and senior managing director for Alliant Americas, said in the statement. “The addition of Steve and Scott will enable us to expand our service platform and product offerings to clients in both Louisiana and across the Southeast.”
