Navigators names president of professional liability division

The Navigators Group Inc. on Tuesday said it has named James L. Rhyner president of the Navigators Pro division of Navigators Management Co., the insurer’s U.S. underwriting operation.

Mr. Rhyner, who will be based in Iselin, New Jersey, will lead Navigators’ U.S. directors and officers and errors and omissions businesses, Stamford, Connecticut-based Navigators said in a statement.

Navigators said the appointment reflects Navigator’s “continued commitment to its U.S. management and professional liability products lines as part of our global portfolio.”

Mr. Rhyner joins Navigators from Warren Township, New Jersey-based Chubb Ltd., where he was senior vice president of professional liability.
