PartnerRe's profit grows nearly 40%
Posted On: Jul. 31, 2017 4:00 AM CSTBermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe Ltd.'s profit grew more than 39% to $191 million in the second quarter compared with $137 million in the second quarter of 2016, The Royal Gazette reported. Gross written premiums grew nearly 6% year over year to $1.4 billion in the second quarter. "We delivered good results in the second quarter with an annualised adjusted net income return on equity of 13% driven by strong nonlife underwriting results and investments contribution," said Emmanuel Clarke chief executive of PartnerRe.
