More than 25% of banks suffer DDoS attacks, costs more than $1 billion: Kaspersky

A study by Russia-based cyber security firm Kaspersky Lab Z.A.O. found that about one in four banks across the world were hit by distributed denial-of-service attacks in 2016, costing more than $1 billion on average, Sputnik reported. Banks are most likely to face a DDoS attack, the security firm said. Disruptions in the operation of public web services lasted from several hours to several days in 52% of the cases, Kaspersky said.
