Marsh recruits Goldman Sachs risk manager

Marsh L.L.C. named former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. risk manager Alex deLaricheliere to lead its U.S. banking and capital markets practice, the brokerage announced Tuesday.
In the newly created position, Mr. deLaricheliere, who is based in New York, will report to Eugene Sheehan, Marsh’s U.S. financial institutions industry leader.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, where he worked for 10 years as a vice president in the corporate insurance management department, Mr. deLaricheliere was a financial institutions underwriter at Chubb Ltd. and, before that, at American International Group Inc.
“Alex’s extensive knowledge of the banking and capital markets industry coupled with his experience as both a risk manager and underwriter, make him an ideal candidate to lead this important industry practice for Marsh,” Mr. Sheehan said in a statement.
