BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Gwen Stefani sued after fan breaks leg at concert

The lively Gwen Stefani may not be a “Hollaback Girl” but is alleged to be a break-your-leg girl.

So says lawsuit filed in federal court Friday by a fan who broke her leg at a concert in 2016.

Lisa Keri Sticklin is accusing the No Doubt singer of causing a "crowd rush" at a Charlotte, North Carolina, gig in July 2016 that caused Ms. Sticklin to suffer several injuries including a broken tibia, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

The Beverly Hills entertainment company Live Nation is also listed as a defendant in the lawsuit, which seeks compensatory and punitive damages, the article states.

Ms. Sticklin accuses Ms. Stefani of encouraging fans sitting in the lawn portion of the PNC Pavilion to rush into the reserved seated half of the amphitheater, Courthouse News reported.

"‘Just fill in anywhere you like! Who cares about your lawn chairs? You can get new ones," Stefani allegedly told the crowd, the lawsuit says in accusing the singer of negligence, according to Courthouse News.
