Liberty Mutual unit to set up post-Brexit EU headquarters in Luxembourg

U.K.-based insurer Liberty Specialty Markets plans to set up its European Union headquarters in Luxembourg post Brexit, Reuters reported. LSM is a subsidiary of U.S.-based insurer Liberty Mutual Group Inc. The move follows an analysis of potential jurisdictions to ensure LSM's post-Brexit structure complements its European strategy. LSM will seek regulatory approvals to operate via an insurer and insurance intermediary domiciled in Luxembourg. It will continue to maintain its London headquarters.
