Randall & Quilter acquires captive from AstraZeneca

Bermuda-based run-off insurance specialist Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings Ltd. has completed the acquisition of U.K.-based captive AstraZeneca Insurance Co. Ltd., The Royal Gazette reported. When it announced the acquisition in December 2016, R&Q said that it expected the price to be between $13.1 million and $44.7 million. AstraZeneca Insurance is the captive insurer of biopharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca U.K. Ltd. and it stopped active underwriting in 2004.
