Governor vetoes Illinois budget bill

Illinois failed to pass a state budget that included workers compensation reforms over the weekend. 

Gov. Bruce Rauner vetoed a package of bills Tuesday that included a spending plan and 32% increase in taxes. The Illinois Senate voted to override the veto the same day. 

The Illinois House members were scheduled to meet Thursday afternoon to consider overriding the veto.
