Cyber attack on Maersk's systems causes delay in cargo shipment

Denmark-based shipping firm A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S said that the June 27 Petya cyber attack affected its computer systems, causing delays in cargo shipment at port terminals across the world, Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide reported citing Reuters. "It will have an impact on vessels or cargo that loaded yesterday, today and maybe also tomorrow," said Vincent Clerc, chief commercial officer at Maersk. Some of the 76 port terminals run by Maersk's unit APM Terminals Management B.V. at Spain, India, the Netherlands and the United States were affected.
