Alliant names CFO of new specialty group

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. said Thursday that Reshma Dalia has been promoted to chief financial officer of the broker’s recently formed Alliant Specialty Group.

Ms. Dalia will work with the group’s management team on operational, financial, and strategic growth initiatives for the group, which provides support for clients in the public entity, real estate, aviation, financial services, energy and marine, health care, agriculture, construction and environmental sectors, Alliant said in a statement.

Previously, she served as senior vice president, operations and finance for the Newport Beach, California-based broker’s construction services group.
 
“Reshma served as an integral member of the construction services group’s leadership committee and has been an important factor in our growth over the past five years,” Peter Arkley, president of Alliant Specialty Group, said in the statement. “By utilizing her expertise and know-how within Alliant Specialty Group, we are poised for a very successful future.”

Ms. Dalia was recognized as a Business Insurance Woman to Watch in 2012.

She is based in Houston.
