BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Axis Insurance, a unit of Pembroke, Bermuda-based Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., said Monday that former Zurich North America executive Meghan Anzelc has been named vice president of data and analytics.

In this new role, Ms. Anzelc, a physicist and data scientist, is responsible for expanding Axis’ data and analytics capabilities, the insurer said in a statement.

Previously, Ms. Anzelc was a vice president and lead data scientist with Schaumburg, Illinois-based Zurich North America, leading a team responsible for integrating predictive analytics within its underwriting and claims functions.

She is based in Chicago.

“Meghan is an accomplished data scientist and a proven leader with a strong understanding of the specialty insurance space,” Brian Kemp, executive vice president and chief pricing actuary for Axis Insurance, said in the statement.
