Public risk management group names leadership

Amy Larson was sworn in Wednesday as the 2017-2018 Public Risk Management Association president at the association’s annual membership luncheon in Phoenix.

Ms. Larson, who is risk and litigation manager for Bloomington, Minnesota, takes over the role of president after serving on PRIMA’s board of directors since 2012, PRIMA said in a statement. She will lead the association of more than 1,000 public entities and oversee its nine-person board of directors until June 2018.

PRIMA director Jani Jennings, insurance and safety coordinator for the City of Bellevue, Nebraska, was sworn in as PRIMA’s president-elect. She will assume the presidency in June 2018.

Forestine Carroll, risk manager for the Memphis, Tennessee, Housing Authority, and Sheri Swain, director of enterprise risk management at Maricopa Community College in Tempe, Arizona, were named directors, PRIMA said.
