BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

QBE North America said Friday that it has joined with AmWINS Special Risk Underwriters to launch a national excess property insurance program.

The nonadmitted program will principally target risks made up of a mix of soft occupancy — such as habitational, hospitality and retail — and manufacturing, the unit of Sydney-based QBE Insurance Group Ltd. said in a statement.

“QBE is excited to partner with such an experienced property MGA,” Glenn Skrynecki, senior vice president of property/casualty programs for QBE North America, said in the statement.

Katie Davies, president of AmWINS Special Risk Underwriting, said in a statement that “QBE brings the specialized expertise to help us meet the needs of our customers.”
