BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Former Zurich exec Salvatore jumps to Hanover Insurance

Bryan J. Salvatore has been named executive vice president and president of specialty for Hanover Insurance Group Inc., the Worcester, Massachusetts-based insurer said Thursday.

Mr. Salvatore had been president of specialty products for Zurich North America. Zurich announced Wednesday that Brian Winters has been named to head specialty products for Zurich North America, effective immediately.

In his new role, Mr. Salvatore will lead Hanover’s domestic special business, “leveraging and expanding its capabilities to help the company’s agent partners capitalize on the increasing opportunities in the specialty business,” Hanover said in its statement.

“He succeeds Andrew Robinson, who left last year to pursue other opportunities,” a Hanover spokeswoman said in an email.

Hanover said in its statement that Mr. Salvatore, 52, is joining the insurer after 20 years with Zurich North America, including nearly five years as president of its specialty products business.

He will be based in New York.
