Trump nominates Sullivan to safety commission

President Donald Trump on Friday nominated James Sullivan to the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.

Mr. Sullivan has 37 years of experience representing employers in issues related to labor, employment and occupational safety and health law, according to a White House press release. He has most recently been a shareholder with law firm Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney P.C. and a member with Cozen O’Connor P.C. in Philadelphia.

He also served as vice president of labor and employment law and deputy general counsel for Philadelphia-based Comcast Cable Communications Inc.

From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Sullivan served as the management co-chair of the occupational safety and health law committee of the American Bar Association’s labor law section.

This marks Mr. Trump’s second nominee to fill two open positions on the commission. He nominated Heather MacDougall in April.
