Storm causes nearly $30 million in insured losses

The Insurance Council of New Zealand said that storm Tasman Tempest that hit the country in March caused insured losses of nearly 42 million New Zealand ($29 million), Voxy.co.nz reports. The storm damaged 5,800 houses and 760 commercial properties, with business interruption losses totaling NZD 13.4 million.
