Tokio Marine to offer insurance for commercial testing of drones

Japan-based Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. Ltd. plans to offer insurance coverage against damage and other costs related to accidents that occur during commercial testing of drone-based services, Asia Insurance Review reported citing The Nikkei. The policy will pay for repairing a drone model's entire fleet if a flaw is discovered on a certain model during testing. It will also cover the cost of holding a news conference after an accident and investigating the cause.
