Kentucky names insurance commissioner, deputy

The Kentucky Department of Insurance said Friday that it has named Versailles, Kentucky-based Nancy G. Atkins commissioner.
Previously, Ms. Atkins was deputy commissioner, the department said in the statement.
Former Commissioner Brian Maynard is returning to the private sector, according to reports.
Additionally, Patrick O’Connor was named deputy commissioner of policy. Mr. O’Connor will continue to serve as an executive legal advisor and assist the department with high-priority legal, policy, and legislative initiatives, according to the statement.
