BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Former Willis chief Casserley joins private equity firm

Private equity firm Warburg Pincus L.L.C. on Thursday said it has named former Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. CEO Dominic Casserley as a senior adviser in its financial services group.

Mr. Casserley, who took over the chief executive position at Willis Group Holdings in 2013, led the brokerage’s merger with Towers Watson & Co. to create Willis Towers Watson P.L.C. in January 2016. After the merger, he was named president and deputy CEO of the combined firm but left within a year.

Prior to that, Mr. Casserley spent 30 years at McKinsey & Co., where he held several senior leadership positions in New York, Hong Kong and London.

In his new role with New York-based Warburg Pincus, Mr. Casserley will help identify and evaluate new investment opportunities in the financial services sector, including in the banking and insurance industries, the company said in a statement.

“We are pleased to welcome Dominic as a senior adviser in our Financial Services Group," Michael Martin, Warburg Pincus’ managing director, said in the statement. “His extensive track record leading and advising companies in financial services, risk management and insurance will be valuable to the team as we identify new investments across our global network and support our portfolio company management teams.”
