Everest Insurance expands inland marine team

Everest Insurance, a unit of Everest Re Group Ltd., said Thursday that it is continuing to expand its inland marine team with the hiring of Tom Warner, Mike Lewis and Timothy Janeway.

Mr. Warner, who will be based in Atlanta, has joined Everest Insurance as vice president of inland marine for the Southeast region from the Beazley P.L.C., where he was the focus group leader for the insurer’s builder risk and inland marine division, Everest said in a statement. 

Mr. Lewis, who will be based in Tampa, Florida, has joined as senior underwriter and manager of the inland marine segment in the Southeast from XL Group Ltd., where he was a senior inland marine underwriter responsible for the Mid-Atlantic states of Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. 

Mr. Janeway, who will be based in Chicago, is coming on board as senior underwriter and associate manager of the inland marine segment from CNA Financial Corp., where he was a senior inland marine underwriter responsible for the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states. 

“We are excited to be able to add these talented technicians to our already strong bench of underwriting talent,” Mike Warfield, head of inland marine, said in the statement. “Everest has built quite a footprint in the inland marine space, and we look forward to continuing to grow the team to support the needs of our trading partners and insureds.”
