Fire causes $13 million damage at garment factory

A fire broke out at Vietnam-based garment maker Kwong Lung Meko Co. Ltd. on March 25 causing up to $13 million worth of damage to workshop, machinery, equipment, goods and raw materials, VN Express reported. The company, located in Tra Noc industrial zone, has a one-year fire insurance policy with total sum insured of 550 billion Vietnamese dong ($24 million). It paid a premium of more than VND 1 billion for the cover.
