XL Catlin's CEO denies rumors linking him with AIG

Mike McGavick, chief executive of XL Catlin, has refuted rumors linking him with the vacant CEO's role at insurer American International Group Inc., The Royal Gazette reported. "I have not been contacted by AIG, and have no knowledge of whether they have an interest in me or not," Mr McGavick said. He was one of the names suggested by The New York Times' Dealbook as a likely replacement for Peter Hancock, who resigned as chief executive of AIG on March 9.
