Natural disasters cause economic losses of nearly $70 million in China
Posted On: Mar. 16, 2017 5:00 AM CSTChina's Ministry of Civil Affairs has said that natural disasters caused 480 million Chinese yuan ($69 million) worth of economic losses in February, and affected more than 1 million people, Xinhua reported. More than 2,000 houses were damaged and over 76,000 hectares of crops were affected. Natural disasters included earthquakes, landslides, forest fires, freezing weather, snowstorms and drought.
