Reinsurance demand rises as prices decline

Demand for reinsurance capacity increased during January renewals, but the much-anticipated pricing floor remains elusive in the face of continued reinsurance price decline, Artemis.bm reported. Reinsurance prices are expected to continue to decline at the upcoming renewals, albeit at a slow rate. The market might be closer to a floor after the January 2018 renewals.
