Damage from hailstorm estimated to reach $25 million

The Insurance Council of Australia has estimated that the hailstorm thatstruck parts of Sydney and Wollongong on Feb. 18, has caused an estimated $31 million Australia ($24 million) in damage, ABC.net.au reported. The figures are expected to rise as more than 12,000 insurance claims have been filed so far, an official from the ICA said. Most of the claims came from the Hills District and Northern Beaches.
