Data from insurance regulator Central Insurance of Iran shows that the nation's oil and energy sector-generated insurance premiums grew 114% in the nine months ended Dec. 20, 2016 to IRR 2.5 trillion ($77.1 million), Financial Tribune reported. The overall industry premium income
grew 21% year on year to 200 trillion Iranian rials during the period.
