QBE denies rumors of acquisition by Allianz

Australia-based insurer QBE Insurance Group Ltd. has repudiated rumors that it has received an acquisition proposal from Germany-based insurer Allianz S.E., Romanian Insurance 1asig.ro reported citing media sources.
"Talks between the groups were friendly but there were no concrete negotiations about a deal yet," Handelsblatt said.
