COO appointed for Aon Risk Solutions

Aon P.L.C. has named James Platt to the newly created role of chief operating officer for Aon Risk Solutions, the brokerage said Thursday.

Based in London, Mr. Platt will work with Aon Risk Solutions’ global operating committee to help develop strategy and drive business performance, an Aon spokeswoman said in an emailed statement. Previously, he was CEO of data analytics unit Aon Inpoint. 

Chicago-based Michael Moran has been appointed CEO of Aon Inpoint, according to the statement. Previously, he was chief operating officer of Aon Benfield Group Ltd.
